The original function of these wire cages were to protect light bulbs used in workshops and/or factories. But, they have found their way into our interiors.
Left in their natural state, these lights add an obvious touch of industrial to a space. In their more recent reincarnations, cage lights get an elegant update with color and fancy finishes.

I love cage lights! Great selection! Also love that the upholstery on the second pictures is made out of coffee bags (sacks?). Maybe that would be a great idea for the next class 😉

…not a bad idea at all.

I do like them, but how often do you see a picture of one switched on? Because generally they don’t look too good on, they often glare too brightly. Or what do you think?

These are great. I’m going through a ‘lighting’ phase at the moment – there are so many gorgeous ones around that I’m wanting to replace all the ones in our home. Love the 1st pic with the globe too. xxx

I like the look of these lamps but not the glare of the exposed bulbs. Funny enough, I like the mid-price lamp with the exposed bulb best. If I bought one I would have to not turn it on or get the silver tipped bulb. 🙂
