It’s that time again, the Fall trends in fashion are emerging and it looks like one of the season’s hot hues will be oxblood red. We already know that fashion trends can often be adopted into our home decor. This is even more true when the trend deals with colour.
Although it is more common in formal or traditional interiors, this tone also works in lighter and more contemporary schemes.
A leather piece paired with a pastel and/or a contrasting red hue will give you an unexpected contrast.
Use it as an anchor: A large accessory in this colour will help ground everything else going on in the space.

I’m liking this colour trend – not so in your face and flashy as regular red but still adds a pop of colour to an outfit. Off to find an oxblood slouchy sweater

I can’t get enough of this color! I would have never thought to put it on a leather couch, against a mint wall! Amazing!

I die at that Celine bag in the last photo. That color is so perfect, isn’t it? I have a maroon scarf that reads a little like oxblood in certain lights that I’ve been wearing non-stop since October came. Tis the color of the season!

Oxblood isn’t a color I seek out for design or clothes but I really like it in the middle photo mixed with the blue.

To be honest, it’s not really my colour. Oxblood is just a fancy name for maroon, isn’t it? But, in saying that, it looks amazing in all your photos, so maybe I will be swayed 🙂 x

I love oxblood. For me, it has to have more red in it than purple, then it’s perfect. I saw a young woman wearing a pair of Doc Marten matte oxblood boots the other day, and the color was so nice.
