Mother’s Day is usually a breeze as my mom is very easy to please. My father on the other hand, completely different story. I mean, what do you get the man who, doesn’t have everything but does not feel like he actually needs anything? To make matters worse, I had his birthday earlier in the month so June is a double whammy!
We may still be in Turkey, but my mind is definitely on what to get my dad for Father’s Day (although, being away does get me a few extra days!)
Father’s Day Ideas by homestilo on polyvore.com
For his desk– an aviation enthusiast (dad used to skydive as a sport!), I am sure he’d love this helicopter that also functions as a paperweight and pen holder (uncommon goods $56)
For his hobbies– dad is also the family mechanic (amazon $17)
For his travels– dad likes to travel and I am sure he would get a kick out of this travel kit which has been upcycled from a tent (uncommon goods $38)
For his enjoyment– dad loves his beer. as a treat, I always bring him back a beer from any country I visit as a souvenir. I hear the Efes beer is the beer to drink in Turkey…
Oh, and little brother, if you’re reading, don’t steal any of my gift ideas!

This is tonight’s agenda…searching for a father’s day gift. My dad said, don’t buy me anything… I can’t do that when I always go the extra mile for my mom.

I had to choose between getting my father’s day present and going to a place I really wanted and I chose the responsible thing and now his present is done. You should get extra beers for a souvenir and for Father’s Day. 🙂
Hope you are having a great trip!

I find men, in general, really hard to buy for. My husband just wants surfing or biking gear, which I don’t know much about! My Dad loves books and good wine, and I have also found magazine subscriptions to be popular with the guys. I like your choices though! x

@BravoeRunway: I know exactly what you mean. My mom is so much easier to shop for though *she loves everything
@Jeanine: I don’t know if my weight restrictions will allow it, but a six pack of Efes does sound like a fun idea
@Vic: It sounds like you have definitely narrowed down the gift themes *that’s always a good thing

My dad always gets candy or chocolate. He’s got a sweet tooth…He already got his present because they already had fathers day in Germany. That screw holder is such a great idea, I might need that for myself 😉
Hope you are still enjoying your vacation!
