Happy Earth Day! In honor of the day, today we’ll have a look at metal watering cans.
If you live in an apartment and have plants, chances are your watering can, like mine, lives out in the open. Let’s be real, if I kept it out of sight, say, under the sink, my poor plants would never get watered.
There are so many options in the metal can department- whether your tastes are more on the country cottage side or sleek. They run the gamut in the pricing department as well.

We actually use a bottle shaped vase to water our plants but perhaps it’s time to get a proper watering can. Some of these options are so sleek and modern!

those copper watering cans have me swooning! i have a metal one at home…. i wonder if i could get away with spray painting it copper instead of purchasing a new one?
homestilo says
That is a clever idea Yelle!

That copper one from Dwell is SO beautiful!

…and others must agree with you- it is currently sold out!

Would you believe that these are on my Father’s Day list of gifts to get my husband? He’s the gardener in our family, but there’s no reason he has to keep using crappy plastic cups to water our plants! 😉

With so many choices out there, I am sure you won’t have a hard time finding the perfect one.
Leena says
Ha! But I do keep the watering can in a cupboard under the sink and yet I do water the plants 🙂
Never the less it is an ugly plastic one. I’m not too happy using it. I’d love to have something as pretty as those.
homestilo says
Well you are better than I am Leena!
