Since J is still a tiny tot, I am using this time to sit out on all of the holiday related activities that are soon to come. A “Babie’s First (Insert Holiday Here)” onsie is as festive as it gets for now. But I am taking notes on ideas.
Here is a look at some egg hunt baskets that will work for boys and girls. And they could certainly be used later on for toy storage or perhaps for a trip to the beach?…

You’re a smart momma. My son is 14 now (and still wants to dye Easter eggs!), but we held out forever on jumping into the holiday melee. For years I’d buy him costume like pajamas to wear at Halloween and be done with it. I think he’s turning out okay. 😉

I kid you not, I had the same (brilliant, if you ask me) idea just a couple of weeks ago. (and then spent the rest of the day Googling ‘baseball uniform pajamas’ (I know, I may have a problem)

My favorite part of Easter (remember, we’re Jewish, so we skipped all the religious stuff and only focused on the candy) was going to bed Saturday night and hearing my mom stuffing plastic eggs downstairs with change and candy. I love that noise. And then of course, waking up the next morning and coming downstairs and seeing eggs hidden about the house in the funniest places (on top of picture frames, etc). Oh, Easter! xo

It sounds like your mom/parents really put in some big efforts to make Easter special…and who wouldn’t want to find colorful eggs full of $ and candy (I know I would!)

i am still not very good at celebrating holidays. i’d say i am a lot like erin’s mom 🙂 i devote all of my holiday madness to halloween and christmas. other than that, all the holidays in our house last about 5 minutes. and really, for kids, it’s just about the candy!
