Why, hello there?! So, inadvertently, my “hiatus” turned more into a complete M.I.A. act. Not only from my blog, but from all of yours as well! Alas, my apologies. It has finally gotten to me though, and I couldn’t stay away any longer. But, before jumping in to business as usual, I thought I’d share a look at what exactly I have been doing all this time (bear with me as this is just as much for you as it is for my own sake- really, where has all of my time gone?!)
1 | *Ok, without a doubt, this is where all most of my time goes. All day, every day. Meet Julian everyone!
1a | As part of all things baby, most of my home/creative projects now seem to revolve around the little guy as well.
2 | No, I have not been getting the kind of beauty sleep depicted in this image. But, when dead tired, and baby (finally) goes down, I end up watching tv. Lots of it. And somehow I have been checking off quite a few movie classics off my list. In the past seven months alone, I have seen, for the first time ever: Annie Hall, Field of Dreams and Gone With the Wind, just to name a few.
3 | When not watching tv, I have also been trying to get a design partnership off the ground with Nina of No. 40. So, be on the lookout for clasen martin design!
4 | While I haven’t been able to visit many any of the blogs I used to read regularly, I have been keeping up via Instagram- it’s such a great way to get instant inspiration. Like with Erin’s ridiculously pretty Snow Selfie or as seen here with Christine’s images of her winter wonderland.
5 | …and speaking of Winter, I’ve also spent time in awe of this arctic blast Mother Nature has doused us with (and if you squint hard enough, you will see a golfer in the snow as seen from my balcony in this pic)
So there you have it. My life as of late. Now, let us return to our regular programming! Happy Friday everyone!

I’m so happy to see you back here!! I thought I’d pop over and check after I saw your comment yesterday, and lo and behold! You’ve returned! Such a pleasure to meet little Mr. Julian finally. He is a darling, congratulations again! I hope we get to see more of him and hear alllll about how these last few months have treated you guys!
I am SO excited to hear about you & Nina pairing up on this design partnership!! That is such amazing news!! And totally suited to you guys, too. Oh, that’s such a great idea, good for you guys for running with it and making it a reality! Cannot wait to hear more about that. Can I hire you guys? I am in dire need of design help (or maybe a new house?).
xoxo
PS thank you for the very kind words on my Instagram, too 🙂 As much as I love snow, I’m ready for spring!

PS. i watch a lot of tv too. i think it comes with the mothering territory, or it does for me. it’s just all i have the energy left to do, and somehow it becomes amazing source of relaxation. though i haven’t watched in classics lately. i should do that. xo
homestilo says
Oh trust me Christine, not all of it is cinematic gold. There is a lot of trash tv in there too!
